Good morning everyone. For today's Tech Tuesday, I want to share a great multimedia digital collection called ARKive. ARKive contains over 100,000 photos, films, and audio of rare or threatened species. Currently they contain over 15,000 species. Arkive is not just animals, you can also find plants and fungi on the site.
ARKive categorizes its content by animal, plant, eco-region and geo-political region. It is possible for you to take a trip to the Antartica eco region and explore all the animals and plants found there.
ARKive offers videos that can be downloaded for classroom use. ARKive offers free lesson plans, games, PowerPoints, links to outside sources and instruction sheets. Lessons are organized by student ages.
ARKive could be used by Science students.
It's worth visiting the site.
See you next Tech Tuesday.
